Expanding storage on my SuperMicro sys-5028d-tn4t

Quick little post around expanding storage on my SuperMicro sys-5028d-tn4t / device compatibility…

I found a reasonably prices 2TB expansion for the homelab… While I know it’s not the best device / solution in terms of performance it is value for money which is more important due to budget.

I just installed the Intel 660p M.2 NVME into the onboard slot and moved my existing Samsung 970 EVO Plus (vSAN cache disk) to the Delock M.2 expansion card. So far it’s all been 100% plug and play on vSphere 7 / vSAN!!! woohooo
