IT’S ALIVE!: SYS-5028D-TN4T & vSphere 8

So this is a quick post for those of you like me with SYS-5028D-TN4T wondering if it runs vSphere 8….

So I finally pulled my thumb out this weekend and upgraded from vSphere 7 to vSphere 8, to my surprise it did install on SYS-5028D-TN4T and vSAN, Tanzu and NSX-T all worked just fine.

I did get a warning “The CPUs in this host may not be supported in future ESXi releases. Please plan accordingly.” see KB

My SYS-5028D-TN4T is running vSphere 8, vSAN, Tanzu + NSX-T 4.1.0.0.0.21333672 LE

But as you can see below its running!!!!!
